Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms cover your use of HomeDojo, which includes the app at app.homedojoapp.com and the website at homedojoapp.com.
HomeDojo is operated by Copia International Ltd. ("HomeDojo," "we," and "us").
By creating an account or using HomeDojo, you agree to these terms.
1. What HomeDojo is
HomeDojo is software for running small martial arts and training groups.
It helps group owners schedule classes, track attendance and payments, collect signed documents, and chat with members.
HomeDojo is a tool. We do not run, supervise, or insure any group or class.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 to create your own account.
- Children under 13 can only be added by a parent or guardian, who manages the child's profile.
- Give accurate information, and keep your password private.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the profiles they manage.
3. Groups and group owners
Each group has one owner.
The owner is responsible for their group: who they invite, what they post, which documents they ask people to sign, and how they handle the information they collect.
Owners and moderators can see the details members share with the group, such as attendance, payment records, and signed documents.
HomeDojo does not control how a group is run, and is not a party to any agreement between a group and its members.
4. Waivers and documents
HomeDojo lets owners create documents, such as waivers, and collect signatures.
The text of every document is written by the group, not by HomeDojo.
We do not give legal advice, and we do not promise that any document is valid or enforceable.
Owners should have their documents reviewed by a lawyer.
Signed documents are stored for the group that asked for them.
5. Plans and payments
- HomeDojo costs $10 a month, or $100 a year, for each group.
Only the group's owner pays.
Members and parents never pay. - New groups get a 30-day free trial, and no card is needed.
- During early access, groups are free while we finish building payments.
Your 30-day trial starts when payments open, and we will tell you before it does. - Each group is its own subscription, and a group can have up to 50 members.
- If a trial ends, or a payment fails and the 14-day grace period passes, the group becomes read-only.
Nothing is deleted, and subscribing unlocks the group again. - You can cancel any time.
A cancelled group keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. - Payments are handled by Stripe, once payments open.
We do not see or store full card numbers. - Fees are charged in advance and are not refundable, except where the law requires.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice.
A change never applies to a period you have already paid for. - Prices are in US dollars, before any taxes that apply.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use HomeDojo to:
- Break the law, or the rights of others.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone.
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit.
- Collect other people's information without their permission.
- Try to break, overload, or get around the security of HomeDojo.
- Send spam.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into HomeDojo, such as messages, photos, and documents.
You give us permission to store it, show it to the people you share it with, and process it as needed to run the service.
You are responsible for having the right to share it, especially photos and details of other people and children.
8. Health and safety
Martial arts training involves physical contact and a risk of injury.
HomeDojo does not supervise or take part in classes.
Whether to train is a decision for you, your group, and your doctor.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
If we do, we will tell you why, unless the law stops us.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep HomeDojo running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
We may change or remove features, and we will give notice of significant changes.
To the extent the law allows, HomeDojo is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, HomeDojo and Copia International Ltd. are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens at a class, event, or gathering run by a group.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms.
We will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
Using HomeDojo after a change means you accept it.
